Let's say he's wielding Green Light because of shenanigans in his youth, but he lost himself to it one day and ended up hurting someone. My suggestion is to become more familiar with the aspects of it before trying to write it (if you can't bother with the source then read some decent fanfics about Power Rings and Emotional Light like With This Ring), but a simple solution is that Izuku is afriad of his own power initially and that hampers it. And you have to consider why you're giving him all 7 lights in the form of White Light instead of just one of the lesser ones. However, you have to ask yourself if you can reasonably draft not one but several scenes where he trains his emotional state so that he doesn't get consumed by his power and it not come out like an ass-pull. If he's wielding pure emotional light then yes, he does need to be able to train emotionally to control it.
However, it does also present a weakness in that the ring can be taken from him. Izuku, not being an idiot, would get a lot of mileage out of it and in a setting with usually one-power per person, it eliminates a challenge unless you put on restrictions on it. They can be used to do many things depending on the user's imagination and the ring's charge. And Izuku wouldn't do that in character.īut ultimately, the crux is the same: Lantern rings are a tool that allow one to manipulate the emotional spectrum without being overwhelmed by it. Its just all 7 (Green (Green Lanterns), Yellow (Sinestro Corps), Red (Red Lanterns), Blue (Blue Lanterns), Orange (Orange Lanterns but by default its just Larfleeze cause thats how greed works), Indigo (Indigo Tribe) and Pink (Star Sapphires), power sources making one ring.

Plus again, the White Ring is all 7, its not a seperate entity or corps. Pretty sure most of what the White Ring does is built in, it doesn't need to be taught because theres nobody to teach you.
